Scoring Beasts of the Southern Wild

December 18, 2012 Team Beasts

The Creators Project recently sat down with co-composers Dan Romer and Benh Zeitlin to talk about their process of collaboration on the Beasts of the Southern Wild soundtrack. Behn credits their complementary skill sets as the reason why they were able to work so fluidly with one another.

The musical pair first collaborated on the short film, Death to the Tinman, directed by none other than Beasts Special Effects guru, Ray Tintori.  Watch the short below and you can catch subtle notes of the style and tone they would eventually bring to Beasts.
